Prime Ice Construct has revolutionized exploration in Snezhnaya as Travelers can use Prime Ice to build effective structures. These structures can be useful in the creation of devices for launching, climbing, warming, and storage, and they can help unravel mysteries and access new areas. This guide explains how it works, how to implement it, and its limitations in terms of pricing and use.

How to Unlock and Use Prime Ice Construct

Once you’ve obtained the Eye of Graeae in Snezhnaya, you’ll have access to Prime Ice Construct, which allows you to create structures. To do that, you will need to use the gadget and open the menu of Prime Ice Construct.

In order to build various objects, Prime Ice and Eye of Graeae energy are required. As long as you are missing one of the resource types, you will not be able to construct anything.

Furthermore, the use of Eye of Graeae energy is necessary for survival in freezing conditions of Snezhnaya. The energy decreases over time, and when it runs out, it starts causing damage to your character. You can replenish the energy by visiting Mini Kresniks or destroying Kresnik Kristall Ores.

All Prime Ice Constructs

There are nine main Prime Ice Construct types that can be used throughout Snezhnaya. Each has a different purpose, cost, and placement limit.

Cube

The Cube requires an expense of 20 Prime Ice and 5% energy, without exceeding its limit of seven. The Cube works either as a foothold, an object lifter, or a device that blocks mechanisms. Due to its straightforward nature, the Cube has a wide variety of applications when it comes to environmental puzzles.

Basic Heat Source

To function, the Basic Heat Source consumes 25 Prime Ice, along with 40% of total energy and it has the capacity to operate three steadily. It offers warmth in the locality; hence spending on Eye of Graeae energy to keep the body warm is not necessary. Moreover, its heating power facilitates melting of some ice formations.

Launching Platform

The price of one Launching Platform is 20 units of Prime Ice and a cost of 10% energy, and one can set up a maximum of 7 at a time. When a player stands on the Platform, this leads them in the upward direction and can be used to reach high locations. Also, launching of some other targets can be done using certain puzzles.

Grappling Gun

The price of the Grappling Gun is 30 Prime Ice and 5% energy with the maximum amount limited to seven. It is a device that launches gripping hooks towards features of compatible mechanisms and serves the purpose of moving, grabbing latches, as well as relocating, or anchoring platforms.

The Link Mechanism requires 40 units of Prime Ice and 10% of the energy to work. You can use a maximum of seven mechanisms at a time. The benefit of chaining mechanisms together is that it allows you to travel more effectively.

Storage Device

Among the constructs, the Storage Device is the one that costs the most amount of Prime Ice, with the value of 50 Prime Ice and 40% energy. You can have a maximum of five Storage Devices at the same time. The Storage Device is able to store items temporarily and can also contain items placed inside by other players.

Ambient Bollard

The Ambient Bollard costs 10 Prime Ice and 40% energy, with a limit of two. This pillar provides helpful effects within its surrounding area, including buffs related to things such as elemental energy and stamina regeneration.

Sign: Icon

The Sign: The Icon only costs 5 Prime Ice and 2% energy. There is a limit of 20 symbols that you can place. This gives you the potential to put down a graphical marker on the ground.

Sign: Text

The Sign: Text has the same limit of maximum 20 in terms of both Prime Ice and the energy it demands, that is equal to 2%. The benefit of this tool is that you can leave your message written on the ground. However, you only have access to a limited number of words and phrases to choose from.

Dismantling Objects With Prime Ice

Prime Ice Construct allows players to dismantle selected items as well as build something new. This is very important when you explore Snezhnaya as the obstacles sometimes hide passages, treasures, and resources.

Use the disassembly option from the Prime Ice Construct menu whenever you can and get rid of the obstacles blocking your way to the objects behind them.

Prime Ice Construct Limits

Prime Ice Constructs can be put up only for a particular period. Each kind of structure has its own limit, so it is necessary to choose wisely when making a decision on which structures are useful for the particular situation.

If you cannot build a structure, make sure you have enough Prime Ice, Eye of Graeae energy, or whether you have already reached that structure’s placement cap.

The rule also applies to Snezhnaya, meaning Prime Ice Construct functions and placements are not available once you leave the region.

Temporary Constructs

The nine structures are the basic constructs available for regular use. Some quests can unlock temporary constructs that are used solely for specific tasks. The two types of constructs don’t overlap; that is, the temporary constructs might only be available for the duration of a specific quest.

All in all, the Prime Ice Construct system makes exploring Snezhnaya more interactive. Instead of going through one specific path, the user can use various constructs to create a foothold for moving through Snezhnaya, determine the route, eliminate obstacles, control devices, and get to places otherwise unreachable.
