Fortnite Update v30.20 Patch Notes

New Map. New Mode. Welcome to Fortnite Reload, a new action-packed Battle Royale mode with classic weapons, classic locations, and classic vibes for you and your squad! Reload goes live Saturday June 22, shortly after 2 PM ET.

Squaddies reboot in Fortnite Reload, so long as one member of the team remains. Reload is a 40-player experience on a tighter map featuring familiar locations like Tilted Towers and Retail Row. A full team wipe means Game Over! Whether you choose Battle Royale or Zero Build, the last squad standing wins.

LOCKED AND (RE)LOADED

In this Fill or No Fill Squads experience, it can pay to go for aggressive plays when there’s an automatic reboot just around the corner. If the rest of the team’s down, a lone squaddie needs to keep their head on a swivel, as staying in the game depends on their survival! Here’s how it works:

  • When eliminated, a player’s individual reboot timer starts. The player reboots at the end of the timer!
  • Reboot timers begin at 30 seconds and scale up to 40 seconds later in the match.
  • Remaining teammates can reduce reboot timers by 2 seconds by downing an opponent, 4 seconds by eliminating one, and 10 seconds by wiping an opposing squad.
  • When downed, players can opt to start their reboot timer right away instead of waiting for a revive.
  • Towards the end of the match, reboots will stop, meaning lost teammates will no longer return.

DÉJÀ-BOOT, DÉJÀ-LOOT

Fortnite Tactical Shotgun, Rocket Launcher, Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle, and Lever Action Shotgun

The Tactical ShotgunRocket LauncherBolt-Action Sniper Rifle, and Lever Action Shotgun are a few of the weapons you’ll see in Reload.

This compact island is easy to traverse on foot, so there are no drivable vehicles, but you will find a medley of unvaulted loot. Here’s just a handful of items returning for Reload at launch:

  • Revolver
  • Tactical Shotgun
  • Lever Action Shotgun
  • OG Heavy Shotgun
  • Tactical Submachine Gun
  • Infantry Rifle
  • Heavy Assault Rifle
  • Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle
  • Rocket Launcher
  • Grappler
Fortnite Reload Tilted Towers

Tilted Towers, in the middle of the map, because that’s where the party’s at.

Victory Crowns can be earned in Reload and function the same way as they do in normal Battle Royale or Zero Build. When rebooted, you’ll have a common Assault Rifle and (for Build only) 100 wood. On elimination players drop Small Shield Potions, medium ammo, light ammo, shotgun shells, and (for Build only) 50 of each building material. This is in addition to their entire inventory — stay strapped!

RELOAD REWARDS

Fortnite Digital Dogfight Contrail, Pool Cubes Wrap, and NaNa Bath Back Bling

Fortnite Reload has intro Quests rewarding 20,000 XP each. Complete three to unlock the Digital Dogfight Contrail, six for the Pool Cubes Wrap, and nine to get the NaNa Bath Back Bling! Avoid all accusations of having no chill.

If you bag a Victory Royale, you’ll snag The Rezzbrella Glider! No matter how many times you reboot, keep strengthening your rez-olve.
