After talking to Hildegard, you will get two options to distract the Queensguard. On the right is the Queensguard Cargo Ship docked at Tinderton Pier in Autumn Forest, and there is a Tavern on the left. You have to complete both objectives to gain access to the Guardhouse, but one of them is easier than the other. If you wish to know which one to do first, then you should start with burning the cargo ship. This just requires enough skills to get a successful roll and burn it down, and it requires no battle. Once you are done, you can fight the enemies around Autumn Forest first till your characters are at level 1 to win the brawl in the Tavern,

You just need to send out one character to burn the ship, and whichever character does it will get +6 XP and sometimes an additional +8 XP. If you have a character that is lagging behind, make them burn the ship to level up quickly.
