Many players of this highly popular open-world game, Satisfactory, are anxious to start their new adventures. However, what they’ve been going through, for the most part, is a repetitive error problem within the game: ‘Encryption Token Missing.’ This bug keeps the players out of the game and is growing as an enormous frustration within the community’s circle.
Satisfactory recently got a lot of new players, which is great, but it also means there might be some problems that need to be fixed. This guide will explain what the error means and how you can try to solve it.
What causes the “Encryption Token Missing” error in Satisfactory
When in Satisfactory, the player has already decided where to start their in-game journey, quite a vast world opens before him, full of plenty of different activities that can be done there. They will be allowed to build constructions, combat creatures, gather resources, and construct their base to their liking.
The players can save the game for further play at their desired time. However, the players have started developing an uncommon issue while in the game and deal with an error known as ‘Encryption Token Missing’.
Actually, the ‘Encryption Token Missing’ error is caused by the game’s servers. Each time any player attempts to join the server, be that his or somebody else’s, this happens. Some players did report this might be related to something related to the location of the server. Thankfully, the error can be fixed and does not reappear again.
How to fix the encryption token missing errors in the game Satisfactory
Encryption token errors giving you a headache in Satisfactory? Yeah, those are pretty easy to fix, so you should be back on the field in no time. This will work for both being on your own server and joining a friend’s.
The directions are relatively simple, though a bit changed with the update 1.0. Having passed through those adjustments, Satisfactory shouldn’t give you much trouble anymore.
First of all, for repairing encryption token errors, some changes must be done in your router settings. For doing so, you need to enable the UDP and TCP protocols instead of enabling the UDP for the particular ports.
The following are the ports you will need to change to fix the error:
7777: This is the port the game uses to connect.
15000 : This port is used to discover other players.
15777: The game status is checked using this port.
The port’s forwarding settings are so configured in your router that both UDP and TCP protocols are enabled for each of these ports.
You won’t be able to connect to servers until you’ve changed all three ports to use both UDP and TCP.
You might also try using the Server Manager tool in the Satisfactory menu to fix the problem.
After you save the changes, you should be able to connect to your server without any problems. However, some players have reported that the game might still crash occasionally, even after making these changes. This is a bug that wasn’t there before the fix.
Hopefully, the developers will release an update to fix this issue soon. In the meantime, you can still enjoy playing Satisfactory, even if you have to deal with a few crashes here and there.
