Normally, you would think with a large number of players online, matchmaking should be easy comparted to when there are fewer people, but large number of players can also affect the matchmaking of the game negatively.
When the server are down that will obviously lead to the game not found error. Hence, you should also verify the status of the server. You can visit the Outriders status page to check if the servers are operational or visit the Twitter handle of the game. If the servers are down, you would have to wait for it to be back again for the matchmaking to work.
