The issue of PS5 players being unable to log in after the latest update has been patch fixed, as mentioned in the tweet below.
The stuck-on-installing error is similar to the NIAMEY-LEE error for the PS5, as both of them locked players out of the game. However, the fixes for both issues are the same.
- When the installing screen comes up, press cancel
- Press the start/ options button, then head over to the quick settings menu
- Once you are in, click the back button
- This will take you to the campaign mission screen
Some players also found that going back and starting the game in offline mode seems to help bypass the installing error.
Hopefully, since the issue has been rectified, you just have to restart your game and load it again. Most PS5 players were able to log in after that without losing or resetting their progress, further easing the issues in MW2.
