Deviation errors have been plaguing the Call of Duty community ever since the release of Modern Warfare and the subsequent Warzone. The recent entrant, well not recent, but comparatively rare error is the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Warzone Dev Error 6080. I found a post on Reddit that covers all the fixes I would like to suggest for the error. Check it out below.
I think the 2nd Edit of the contributer may not be clear, so here are the detialed steps.
Force the Game to Start with DirectX 11
As this error mostly occurs on Windows 10 and Xbox One, both using the new DirectX 12, which itself has been known to be broken. Hence, switching back to DirectX 11 to play the game has worked for a lot of users. DirectX 11 is more stable version, but you will have to sacrifice some features which DirectX 12 brings; however, not extreme. So, let’s force the game to run in DirectX 11 mode. Here are the steps.
- Open Battle.Net Client on the PC.
- Open the game COD Modern Warfare
- Go to Options
- Check Additional Command Line Arguments and type -d3d11
- Exit and try playing the game.
Hope this post has resolved the dev error 6080. if you have a more effective solution, you are welcome to share them in comments.
