Black Ops 6 early access beta is out, and the game delivers on the promise. But not all players are having a good time. Players on Game Pass are struggling to launch the game, many players are stuck with crashing, and many players are reporting the Black Ops 6 (BO6): “You do not have access to this content. Preorder BO6.” If you are struggling with the same issue, here are some things you can try.

Fix Black Ops 6 (BO6). You Do Not Have Access To This Content Error

At the time, there was no news on the particular issue, but the developers acknowledged an issue with the servers, which could cause long queues. They said:

“Players may encounter login queues and extended matchmaking wait times as players jump online. We’re working to deploy more servers to get players in-game and matches started.”

There is a chance that the issue with “You do not have access to this content. Preorder BO6” may be due to a server glitch, but if it isn’t, here are some fixes you can try.

Reboot the PC and Game

A simple reboot may fix the error if you have just installed the game. Many people tried this, and it was sufficient to fix the error. If you haven’t tried it, reboot the game and check if the error has been resolved. If not, try the next fix.

Enable the Steam Overlay

Sometimes, when the Steam Overlay is disabled, it can cause game issues. A few users also tried this fix, and it worked for them. Here is how to enable the Steam Overlay.

  1. Right-click on the game in Steam Library > Properties > General tab
  2. Check Enable Steam Overlay While In-game

It’s A Known Issue

If the above fixes did not help you resolve the issue, unfortunately, there is little you can do at your end. The excellent news is that Treyarch is aware of the problem. It’s one of the known issues in the game, which means a fix will come soon, hopefully before the open beta, so players don’t miss out on the Early Access they paid for. Here is what the devs say:

“Players who receive Open Beta Early Access via redemption codes or digitally pre-purchase/pre-order will notice that the Black Ops 6 Main Menu tiles still state they need to pre-order/pre-purchase to access.”

Ensure You Are Registering the Code Correctly

Finally, it’s worth checking that you are performing the proper steps to get access to the beta. If you have received a code via email, follow the below steps to activate it.

  1. Go to Black Ops 6 Redeem Page
  2. Copy and paste the code from your email
  3. Select your linked platform or choose to link your account
  4. Choose your region and hit Redeem.
  5. Go to your email and check for the Beta Token from Activision
  6. Take this code to the Steam redemption page and activate the code.
