How to Get Wind Shards in FFXVI
The only way you can get Wind Shards is by defeating the Garuda. This enemy can be found in Sanbreque, and you can encounter them during the Awakening main quest. All you have to do is defeat this enemy to get one Wind Shard. The Garuda is especially weak on the head, so aim for it and try to take it down quickly.
For now, the Garuda is the only enemy known to drop one Wind Shard, but that is enough to help you in crafting one particular item
How to Use Wind Shards in FFXVI
You will need the Wind Shard to help you craft Stormcry. Stormcry is a pretty decent weapon that gives 135 in both attack and stagger stats. All you need for crafting it is one Wind Shard. After that, head over to the Blacksmith’s Forge to craft this weapon.
