Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time has 14 lives to try, some for Woodcutting, some for Mining, and some for Crafting, but all require one thing in common to level up, and that is experience (XP). In Act 1, where the player is introduced to Mysteria and gets to choose and level up basically every Life for the first time, they might be overwhelmed with how much effort it’s going to cost them to level up all of these jobs and unlock all of their skills.
Here, in this guide, gamers are going to learn all the best places to farm XP with Gathering lives and the best way to level up all the lives at the early-game levels in order to gain a significant boost later on the adventure. Gamers will learn all the facts about farming routes, monsters, gathering materials, and valuable tips to level up Miner lives faster.
Leveling Up Woodcutter Life

Beginning at the Woodcutter’s guild near the Eternia Village, all areas around the Life Trainer are beginner-safe. Almost all of the trees there can be cut with no hassle, but if one wants to speed up XP quickly, they should attempt the following areas.
- Eternia Village Beach (Level 5 to 6): The players can go along the sea coast and harvest lots of Palm Tree wood, which they will use to upgrade the Carpenter later. They are able to reach level 6 without venturing out of the starter area.
- Mysteria Capital (Level 6 to 10): After reaching at least level 6, follow up to the Capital of the Island, and look around the entrance for Oak Trees (Levels 6 to 10), and simply cut them down one by one, until reaching level 10. From there, levelling up can be done on the northwestern side of the Capital.
- Mysteria Beaches (Rank 10 to 15+): Near Banaan Cave and the beaches around it, Palm Trees have ranks from 10 to 12, and afterwards, players can view Oak Trees of rank 12 to 15 over the coast ranks on ledges around the river and north of Banaan Cave. Level 15 Trees are harder to cut down, but with more skills unlocked and the Charged Cut skill, players will be able to break through this soft-cap and level higher.
Leveling Up Miner Life

To get started levelling up Miner Life in Fantasy Life I: The Girl Who Steals Time, players must first activate this Life inside the Paladin’s Guild. As soon as players buy the Miner Life and their first Pickaxe, they will be doing a tutorial introduction, which can be skipped if players have already chosen an earlier Life, and will automatically grant them the Fledgling rank and a better Life Gathering Tool. It is, however, recommended that players finish the introductory Challenge Quest in order to become accustomed to mining.
Once this is complete, the players can start farming Miner Life XP in Mysteria. The most effective way to do so is to take loads of Copper Ore, which can be done in three different locations depending on the players’ level.
- Novice Miner’s Pit close to Eternia Village (Level 1 to 4): During the initial quest, players would have to find Beryl, then mine some minerals inside this cave that contains Copper Ore Deposits from Level 2 to 5, and can provide players with a level of at least 4 in just a few runs.
- The Capital of Mysteria Outskirts (Level 4 to 8): Then, head towards the Capital City and go right at the entrance and search for some Copper Ore Deposits that are level 7 to 9. And southwest (bottom left, near the beach) to find level 6 to 8 Copper Ore Deposits. Farm XP there by recollecting the deposits passing through the entrance to the Capital, and reach level 8, then go to the next farming spot.
- Banaan Cave (Level 8 to 20+): This spot, west of the Capital of Mysteria, will help reach the top level possible in Act 1, by simply going in, mining all instances of the cave, then out to reset the resource nodes.
