There are a few ways to farm Metal Scraps in Enshrouded. The earliest way you can farm metal scraps is by exploring abandoned settlements and encampments that are not within the Shrouded area. Within these settlements and encampments you will find breakable objects like barrels, crates, and furniture. Break them down using any weapon of your choice to farm scraps. The earliest settlement you will encounter is in Rookmore.

The next method you can try is by killing scavengers, who resemble humanoid enemies. After killing scavengers, loot their bodies to get metal scrap. Another way to get metal scraps is while exploring Ancient Vaults. You would need to venture through ancient vaults to find various lost NPCs. Along the way you will find metal pods that you can break down with a pickaxe. These will give you a decent amount of metal scraps, around 3 or 4 per pod. You can then take all your metal scraps back to the Blacksmith to turn them into metal sheets for crafting.
