There is no shortage of enemies in Elden Ring. Players will get more than a hundred bosses along with other enemies to fight in Elden Ring. Among them, Dragons are one of the most troublesome enemies in the game, and some Dragons are more powerful than the others.
This guide will help you know how to defeat one of the most potent dragon enemies, Decaying Ekzykes, in Elden Ring.
Beating Decaying Ekzykes in Elden Ring- Guide to Complete the Fight
Decaying Ekzykes is one of the most powerful dragon enemies found in Elden Ring because it can poison players with Crimson Rot. To fight this dragon, players need to go to the Caelid region, and you’ll find the dragon southeast of the Caelid Highway Site of Grace. It’ll be a little challenging to find it as it hides itself inside the red, tainted moss.
Approach it and when you notice the movement of the dragon, start slashing it, especially with weapons that deal blood damage as the dragon is particularly weak to it. The most dangerous move of the dragon is that it spreads Crimson Rot all over the area. Therefore, after you hit it a few times, rush out and keep a safe distance; so the Crimson Rot doesn’t affect you. The dragon will hover in the air during the fight and dive down to attack you. Try to jump on the opposite side as fast as possible to avoid the attacks of the Dragon.
As we’ve mentioned, the Dragon is weak to bleed damage. So, try to use an ax or sword but make sure it is a lightweight weapon. Always keep your distance from the tail and teeth of the dragon. It is better to attack it on its feet. Once you defeat the Decaying Ekzykes, you’ll get 38000 Runes, Ekzyke’s Decay (15 Arcane, 23 Faith) that allows you to spread Scarlet Rot breath from above.
