With the quest activated, you are tasked with looting a Holtzman Amplifier from a nearby wreck—the broken ship called the Wreck of the Alcyon.
How to reach the Wreck of the Alcyon?
Your quest begins at Griffin’s Reach. The Alcyon Wreck is approximately 1,000 meters east, close to Hagga Basin South. Charting your own path, attempt to circumnavigate the huge rock formations to the north. It’s a directer shot, but do be careful—sandworms may be lurking, especially in broad open sandy flats.
Make sure to bring enough Water before setting off. The trip can be long, and combat reduces your water stores quickly.

By the time you arrive at the wreckage, you’ll have the wreck overrun with Scavenger hostile enemies. They’re not shy about returning, and if you don’t gather loot quick enough, they’ll most likely respawn throughout your journey. Once the wreck is clear (or at least manageable), you’ll be free to explore its inner chambers for loot and quest items.
How to Find the Holtzman Amplifier?
The Holtzman Amplifier is located inside the Wreck of the Alcyon, but the ship’s layout can be a bit disorienting at first. Here’s how to pinpoint the Amplifier’s exact location:
- Enter the main wreck entrance. It is usually located at the side or front of the ship’s exposed hull.
- Stay to the right as you go inside. Continue deeper into the ship, moving toward the back section.
- You will enter a room with a yellow sphere hologram—your cue.
- Head to the back wall of this room. There, you’ll find a small chest sitting against the metal plating.
- Loot the chest, and you’ll receive the Holtzman Amplifier.
Once you’ve secured the item, it’s time to return to Griffin’s Reach.
Returning and Continuing the Questline
