Before you can unlock the Clash and Conclusion quest, you should have completed the side quest Tensions on the Highroad. This is the first time you will meet Raghnall, after which you will find him again at the top floors of Moonglint Tower. You will reach Moonglint Tower as part of The Guardian Gigantus quest. Once you find him, you will get an objective to fight him to complete the quest. But to get the alternate ending, you have to evade fighting him and keep yourself alive too. The longer you can draw out the fight without killing him, the closer you will get to unlock an alternate ending. You can try to weaken him and pin him down, or just keep running around to prolong the fight
If successful, a cutscene will appear where Raghnall will give you the Moonglint Tower Key and The Exalted weapon along with 20,000 Gold. He will also leave you a little gift to your home at a later time, as a thank you for sparing his life
