Destiny 2 is a free-to-play online first-person shooter created by Bungie. It launched as a paid game in 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows. On October 1, 2019, it switched to a free-to-play model under the title New Light, and later became available on Stadia the following month, with releases for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in December 2020. Activision published the game until December 31, 2018, when Bungie took over the publishing rights. Destiny 2 is the sequel to the original Destiny, released in 2014, along with its expansions. This is an update on the Destiny 2 server status.

The Destiny 2 servers are currently online, but maintenance is planned for today. They’ll go offline on October 22 at 6:45 AM PDT for an update to patch 8.1.0.2. Refer to the following table for the Destiny 2 Server Status:
