In Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate, side quests like Sacred Emergence offer players more insight into the lore beyond the main campaign. This particular quest revolves around Orin, the former Emissary of the Nine, who resurfaces on Kepler through a series of mysterious molts scattered across the region.
Sacred Emergence is unlocked after you’ve finished the main Edge of Fate storyline. Though the quest itself isn’t very long, it involves exploration, puzzle-solving, and a bit of light fighting — so you can easily skip over a few steps. This guide will assist you in finding each of Orin’s molts and finishing the quest as quickly as possible.
Beginning the Sacred Emergence Quest

The journey starts when you get to the first of Orin’s shed shells, or molts, on Kepler. You’ll have to use Matterspark, the teleportation skill opened after completing the campaign, to access this first underground area. Approach the molt to activate a voice line from Orin, who calls out for assistance in finding the others.
From this point on, the quest “Sacred Emergence” will be visible in your Quests tab, and three additional molts will be highlighted on your map. You can pick them up in any order.
Orin’s Molt Locations
Central Academy

Go to the Central Academy and head towards the big interior room with two derailed train cars. Take out the Vex and Fallen inside. The molt will be between one of the cars and a big central pillar. It is easy to miss, so search cautiously around the train wreckage.
Outer Wastes

In the Outer Wastes, find the molt on a cliff ledge next to a small building. There is no necessary combat here unless you want it — an infrequent elite enemy spawns here from time to time and drops worthwhile materials. The molt itself is accessible and does not involve any special mechanisms.
Exile’s Accord

The molt of Exile’s Accord is slightly more complicated. First, realign metallic platforms suspended above a sludge pool with Matter Realignment. After realigning, shoot a Relocator beam at a relay device that is close by. The beam will ricochet to activate a portal platform, leading to a control panel of shields. Disable the shields, then move through the newly unlocked passage and locate Orin’s molt.
Meet Orin and Discover Gol’s Whereabouts

Once you’ve obtained all three molts, head to the new marker to the Gorge where you can see Orin standing still in the corner of nowhere. Upon chatting with her, a new marker will lead you to where she thinks her Ghost, Gol, might be hiding.
When you get there, a cluster of Vex will attack you. Take them down, then loot the area. Check near a big spore cluster against the rock wall — you can find a Ghost shell on the ground. You’ll finish the quest by picking it up.
