If you wish to get the katana for free, then you have to find it inside a building. Make your way to the Republic East fast travel point that leads to Santo Domingo. From here, make your way to the Electric Corporation across the fast travel point. If you have completed the Disasterpiece quest, you would be aware of this structure. Inside the building you will encounter enemies and security cameras, so you should come prepared with some good weapons.
- Once you reach the Electric Corporation, enter through the grilled gate on the left
- You will find the entrance to Sector 06
- Go inside and go to your right to find Sector 0
- There is a flight of stairs leading down to the basement in front of Sector 0
- Go all the way down till you reach the No Entry door
- Go through it and enter the grilled gate on the left
- Keep going to the end of the area and keep to your left
- Go down the stairs on the left and enter the new area
- In the new area, enter the doorway on the left and then go right to find some plastic chairs
- Immediately turn right again and go down the stairs
- Go through the door with the red light and go to the left side of the room
- You need to unlock the door with 20 Technical Ability
- Explore the new area to find a furnace with the Errata thermal katana.
The second way to get the Errata is from purchasing it from a vendor. Make your way to the EBM Petrochem Stadium and find the Black Market Vendor. He will sell the weapon for 110,638 credits.
