To unlock Dr. Sozonius, you need to first find Sozo and complete his questline. Sozo is located in Spore Grotto, which is unlocked after your encounter with the Mushroomos in Anura. Once you have this area unlocked, you can visit Sozo’s Chamber to find him. Talk to him to start his questline, which is pretty easy to do. At the end of the questline, you can unlock Sozo as your follower. But here we are looking at how to unlock Dr. Sozonius, which is slightly different from getting undead Sozo follower. The steps remain the same up until you have resurrected Sozo in your farm. He will then ask you to hand over the Menticide Mushroom, and if you do you can add him as Sozo follower. Instead, what you must do is refuse his request. If you keep refusing his request, he will start dissenting. Put him in jail during this time to help him regain his senses. Once he is out of the dissenting phase, you can release him to get Dr. Sozonius follower
