Each year, you can collect a new Service Medal to add to your collection. All prior service medals will be unattainable, so you have to collect them when you get the chance. Each year, they also change the design, so no two medals are the same. To collect your service medal in CS2, just follow the steps below.
- Reach Level 40 to unlock the option first
- You can level up by playing several matches in various game modes
- Go to the Counter Strike 2 main menu
- Click on the profile name
- Click on Get Service Medal
- Tap the Service Medal option again
- You can check your inventory for the Service Medal
Once you get the Service Medal, you have the option to upgrade it. For that, you need to acquire XP and level up to 40 again. You can upgrade your medal six times, and each time you have to reach level 40 to get the upgrade option. Once you have crossed level 40, your XP meter will reset, making you start over to earn more upgrades or the medal if you haven’t collected it yet.
