Your reputation with the Galaxy’s crime syndicates is crucial in Star Wars Outlaws. Completing jobs for them and significantly larger contracts like The Broker is the most effective way to boost your favor with each syndicate.
The Broker is one of Star Wars Outlaws‘ first significant side missions. Shortly after departing Toshara to recruit your crew, Kay and ND-5 will revisit the planet to recover a clam caught in a botched deal between Crimson Dawn and the Pykes. Your decisions in this quest will impact your standing with various groups.
How to begin the Broker side mission in Star Wars Outlaws
The Broker quest starts when Kay receives a call from Danka on the Trailblazer after arriving at Kijimi. This mission involves the Ashiga Clan, the dominant syndicate in Kijimi City, so you’ll need to visit the planet and interact with them before Danka will contact you.
After accepting the job, return to Toshara and go to the designated location to await the deal’s start between the Pykes and Crimson Dawn. ND-5 will arrive to provide support. A shootout will break out shortly after, so eliminate members of both gangs to proceed with the quest.
After clearing up, start searching for the surrounding speeders. The clam isn’t anywhere to be seen, but ND-5 points out that the Pykes have a chop shop nearby, and their amped-up speeders look like they came from there. Mount your speeder and head to the compound to find and swipe the clam.
Should you choose to bribe or refuse the Imperial officer?
With the clam in your possession, return to Danka for your reward. Upon returning to her table, you find her table’s no longer just her. There’s an Imperial officer beside her, and she insists that, by law, you have to share your paycheck because that’s how it works on Toshara. You can Bribe or Refuse the Imperial Officer. Neither decision affects your standing with any syndicate, because the Empire is not one you can affect a reputation with, but it will have consequences regarding your decision:.
Do you need to bribe the Imperial officer?
Kay will briefly express her disappointment to Danka, and you will lose out on 500 Credits.
Can you refuse to bribe the Imperial officer?
Kay will point her blaster at the officer, and you will receive a wanted status after the quest. However, you will get an extra 500 Credits as a reward.
Which option is preferable: bribing or refusing the Imperial officer?
We recommend not paying the bribe to the Imperial officer since a true outlaw wouldn’t bend to the will of the Empire. Besides, in Star Wars Outlaws, it is straightforward to get away with a wanted level. Just ride around for some time on your speeder and avoid main roads to avoid being found by Imperial patrols.
