To get to Purple Cloud Mountain, you need to first find and defeat Venom Daoist. There are two locations where this boss will spawn, and you have to defeat it both times to advance through the quest. The first time you encounter the Venom Daoist is at Webbed Hollow, Pool of Shattered Jade in Chapter 4. The second time will be at Temple of Yellow Flowers, Court of Illumination. This shrine can be found towards the end of Chapter 4. 

How to Get to Pool of Shattered Jade Shrine

If you haven’t unlocked this area yet, from the Upper Hollow Shrine, head northwest and go up the stairs. You will spot several torches lighting up the path. Follow it till you reach a wooden path that you can fall off from. Drop down and go right to drop down again. Make your way through the unlit path with several spider sacs hanging from the ceiling. Keep to your left and you should come across an area with torches

Follow the torches and turn left at the fork. Head past the egg sacs and up the staircase. Keep following this path and go up the other flight of stairs. You will spot the Pool of Shattered Jade shrine next to some torches. Once you visit the shrine, go to the right of it and enter the passage with several egg sacs hanging here. Go past them and you will find a lone egg sac in a clearing. Hit the sac several times to unleash Venom Daoist 

How to Find Venom Daoist in Court of Illumination

From the Court of Illumination shrine in Temple of Yellow Flowers, Webbed Hollow, so a 180 and go through the temple entrance. Keep to your left and cross under another temple archway. Straight ahead is a flight of stairs, go up it and the path will continue to turn to the right. Go up the second flight of stairs and up the slope, then immediately turn to the left and go up the stairs here. After you reach the very top, keep to your left and the path will go downwards, leading to the Venom Daoist’s lair

How to Enter Purple Cloud Mountain and get Weaver’s Needle Vessel

After defeating Venom Daoist for the second time, go up to the wall behind him and interact with it to get to the Purple Cloud Mountain. From there, go straight while keeping to your left. Once the path turns left, follow it till you spot a wooden bridge on your right. Go through the bridge and keep following the path to find the Valley of Blooms shrine. Take the bridge right in front of the shrine and follow the path as it first turns to the left and then to the right. Go through the temple archway and you will find the Petalfall Hamlet shrine

Go straight ahead, go up the stairs, and pass through the stone entrance. Immediately turn to the left and follow the path through the trees. Just before the hut ahead, turn right and keep to your right. Keep to your right past the huts and drop down the ledge. Now keep to your left and you can uncover the Cloudnest Peak shrine. Go up the stairs beside it to find Duskveil. Defeating this boss will reward you with the Weaver’s Needle Vessel
