One of the most crucial options you’ll have to make in Elden Ring is the weapon you’ll utilize throughout the game. While switching weapons is always an option while traveling, mastering a certain weapon type will be essential when dealing with more difficult opponents.

The Twinblade is one weapon type many players will use. It offers fast attacks while still being powerful. So it’s important to know what the best Twinblades are, and where you can find them.

If you want to feel just like Darth Maul in this game, you should use a twinblade. It deals high damage and it’s fun to use. Not to mention you don’t have to worry about an overload of choices: there are only a couple twinblades in the game.

Top 5 Twinblades in Elden Ring

1. Twinblades

There are many types of Twinblades in Elden Ring and some are better than others. The best type of Twinblade is the basic Twinblade itself because it is found very early in the game and still manages to outclass other Twinblades in various areas. It has the lowest requirements and weight of any weapon in its class and still manages to keep its base damage fairly high. Although it may be outclassed by stronger types, people who have upgraded this basic Twinblade up to very high levels will need even more smithing stones.

2. Eleonora’s Poleblade

Eleonora’s Poleblade, which is found off a Plains of Ash invader in the Second Church of Marika, is one of the best-looking Twinblades. Not only does it deal Physical and Fire damage, but it also has an attack that can cause bleed without any extra buffs or infusions. The downside to this weapon is its damage base and the inability to infuse Ashen souls into it. Despite these downsides, Eleonora’s Poleblade is still a great weapon for bleeding your opponents dry.

3. Godskin Peeler

The Godskin Peeler is a very unique Twinblade. Besides large dexterity scaling, it has a special strong attack, letting you thrust the weapon forward. No other Twinblade has that particular skill. It also has an Ash of War, Black Flame Tornado – something you normally get back when you defeat the Godskin Duo in the late game. To get the Peeler, you need to defeat the Godskin Apostle at Altus Plateau’s Windmill Village.

4. Twinned Knight Swords

The Twinned Knight Swords are decent weapons to use early in the game. They are located on the east side of the Windmill Pasture at Altus Plateau. They have high Strength scaling and great base damage, but they’re outclassed by some other Twinblades you can find. Still, they’re easy enough to find if you loot off a corpse, and they’re useful enough as weapons that help you trade-in for better swords later on.

5. Gargoyle’s Twin Blade

This weapon is too powerful to leave off the list. It is received late in the game, but the Gargoyle’s Twinblade comes with a lot of downsides. For one, its base damage is already high and it has amazing Strength scaling. Minimum requirements are pretty lax, but the one thing that holds it back is how it is obtained; the Gargoyle’s twinblade only drops from a boss who you can find in Siofra Aqueduct, who is blocked by some of the most difficult bosses in the game. If you think you can live with all these headaches, this weapon can be a great reward.
