Artifacts come in sets of five and each set possesses unique attributes and set bonuses that allow players to customize their characters, tailoring their playstyle and optimizing their performance in combat. Characters can be doing up to at least double or triple the damage they would have been doing without them.
In this article, we’ll discuss the best artifact sets to maximise the damage of your Ganyu on the battlefield. Do note that while these sets are comparable in terms of damage, you’re better off using one that suits your playstyle with Ganyu.
Ganyu’s Favourite Artifact Sets in Genshin Impact 3.6
The best artifacts for Ganyu depend on her playstyle and role in your party. She can be played as both support or DPS. The following artifact sets are chosen based on her specific playstyles and roles.
Wanderer’s Troupe
A common choice is the Wanderer’s Troupe set, which boosts her Charged Attack Damage and Elemental Mastery. This set is only recommended if you want to use Ganyu as an on-field ranged DPS as it greatly boosts her Charged Attack damage which is already insane.
The downside of this set is you’ll potentially lose out on her Burst DMG which is nothing to scoff at either. On the plus side, however, this set is much more easily obtained and farmed since all world bosses and weekly bosses drop this set as part of their rewards.
Blizzard Strayer
Another option is the Blizzard Strayer set, which increases her Cryo Damage and gives her a chance to deal more damage to frozen enemies. This set obviously works best in a Freeze comp and greatly increases her overall damage output across the board. Even without a Freeze comp, the CRIT Rate bonuses alone might just be enough to turn your Ganyu into a monster.
In terms of which playstyle it suits best- it actually performs great in both on-field and off-field scenarios. That said, this is the recommended set for a support off-field Ganyu since there are no other sets dedicated to her off-field playstyle.
Shimenawa’s Reminiscence
A new set that was introduced in November 2022 is the Shimenawa’s Reminiscence set, which increases her Attack but consumes energy when she uses her Elemental Skill to boost her Normal, Charged and Plunging ATK damage. This set is also comparable to the Wanderer’s Troupe and might be the better pick for a mono-Cryo team with Shenhe and Ayaka. A mono-Cryo team will also help alleviate her energy issues from the set while also increasing her raw damage without involving any reactions.
Naturally, this set is also recommended for an on-field main DPS Ganyu but if you’re stuck between the Wanderer’s and Shimenawa’s then we recommend going for the set with better overall stats.
For a general and safe all-purpose build you can choose the Blizzard Strayer set- provided of course you have good ATK and CRIT DMG stats since the set naturally gives you a ton of CRIT Rate.
