Side with Sovereign Glut or Spaw?
To make the choice, players first need to know what might happen after each of the choices are made. Usually, players go with the story (good guys) or if they are doing an evil playthrough. This choice is also dependent on that and there will be a fight regardless so players need to keep in check the rewards and also the difficulty. The choice we discussing are as follows
- Side with Sovereign Glut
- Side with Spaw
If the players decided to side with Sovereign Glut, they will help Sovereign Glut get his revenge. After his revenge, players will be given another choice of going back to Spaw and killing the Myconid or dying at his hands. If players decided to go back to Spaw they need to kill him and his whole colony. After that, players will get a reward of You will also receive the Featherlight Boots and the Ring of Fire.
If players decided to Side with Spaw after getting Sovereign Revenge, players will be facing Sovereign immediately. This battle starts at the same place and players will be facing against Sovereign, who can be a difficult foe to defeat. After killing Sovereign, players should loot his corpse as it drops items like Scroll of Blur, Scroll of Hold Person, Hastening Spores, Lump of Myconid Flesh, Bonecap, Nightlight Frond, Poison Spores, and Rogue’s Morsel. After that, players will be invited by Spaw to a secret room where players will get more rewards like Gold, Wood Bark, Scrolls, Blushcap Mushrooms, and best of all, the Shadow of Menzoberranzan.
The choice is not 100% obvious but siding with Spaw is more optimal as players won’t be committing mass murder and also get good loots. Sovereign reason for the fight was understandable but the murder of the whole colony was too much therefore making him the bad guy.
