In Speranza, where the entire city is actually below ground, it is not a matter of choice when it comes to maintaining the stability of buildings. A single failure could spell disaster for whatever is left of mankind. The sad thing is, Speranza, is already seeing structures fail because of earthquakes and ongoing activities on the surface, out of choice or due to lack of choice in certain construction materials.
It’s, of course, up to you, but I believe the best way forward is through the data from old-world infrastructure, which means going back into harm’s way to get it. The levels in “Paving the Way” involve sending you off through several maps, but none involve fighting if you plan ahead.
Quest Overview
| Detail | Information |
| Quest Giver | Apollo |
| Combat Required | No |
| Best Loadout | Free Loadout |
| Key Locations | Dam Battlegrounds, The Blue Gate, Buried City |
| PvP Risk | Medium to High (Buried City, particularly) |
Locating an ENELICA Building

Your initial aim is to find an ENELICA building. Such buildings can be found on two different maps and can easily be spotted by the huge, blue logo of the ENELICA company, combined with the wave sign above the name.
| Map | Location | Notes |
| Dam Battlegrounds | Water Treatment Control (Southwest) | Most accessible option, prominently indicated |
| The Blue Gate | Overlook Airshaft (east side) | Less visible, more hazardous |
The Water Treatment Control on Dam Battlegrounds is the best choice. It is more manageable, has fewer high ARC enemies, and is designated as a major location on the map.
(Bonus Tip: Shani’s quest, A Toxic Trail, also leads to Water Treatment Control, allowing you to work on both quests simultaneously.)
Entering any ENELICA building will trigger the quest and reveal your next goal.
Determining the Notice Board’s Position

Once you are inside the ENELICA building, you will have to locate and interact with the notice board.
Notice Board Locations
| Map | Where to Look |
| Dam Battlegrounds | On the southern exterior wall, close to the entrance |
| Blue Gate | Inside the tower beside the hangar, behind the first-floor reception desk |
Engage with the notice board in order to progress towards attaining the final step in your quest.
Unravelling The Researcher’s Data

Your next location is Buried City, and that is Piazza Roma, which is located on the western side of the map, near the Town Hall.
Reaching There Securely
Buried City is infamous for its PvP content, even when playing solo. NPCs tend to camp out in apartment buildings, making a Free Loadout a must-have when exploring this location. Fighting ARC enemies is unnecessary for completing this task.
Specific Location
- Look for the apartment complex with two buildings right outside the Western Station entrance.
- Enter the shop labelled Convinio on the ground floor.
- Through the stairs or through the zipline, one can move to a level lower than the roof.
Entering the apartment will automatically update the quest.
Completing the Final Objective

Once inside the apartment:
- Turn right from the entrance
- Enter the room full of equipment, monitors, and desks
- Interact with the keyboard on the desk
That is it. This is the end of Paving the Way. You may take what you have learned immediately or continue if the situation is safe.
