In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you can pull out Stakes found around the Paldea region to unlock Shrines. These Shrines are home to legendary Pokémon, but you can only battle them after finding all 8 Stakes. There are four different Stake types and four Shrines to unlock. In this guide, we will see how to find all the Yellow Stakes (Chien-Pao Stakes) in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
All Yellow Stake Locations in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet (Chien-Pao Stakes)
There are 8 Yellow Stakes found across Paldea, and after finding them all you can unlock the Yellow Shrine. Here we will see where to find all Yellow Stakes in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Cascarrafa (West) Yellow Stake Location in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
From the Cascarrafa Pokémon Center, head east, directly behind the Gym. Cross the stream over to the other side. There is a large tree here, look around the tree for a Yellow Stake.
West Province (Area One) Yellow Stake Location in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Southwest of Cascarrafa and south of Asado Desert, there is a Pokémon Center in West Province. From there, head southeast till you reach the watchtower point. Climb up the hill beside it to find the Yellow Stake overlooking the watchtower.
Great Crater Yellow Stake Location in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
At the edge of the Great Crater, south of Cascarrafa, there are some mountains that you can climb. You don’t need to go too far up. There will be a crevice between the mountains where the Yellow Stake will be wedged in.
South Province (Area Six) Yellow Stake Location in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Head east in area six, almost bordering South Province (Area Four)’s the west side. There is a river that flows in between. Climb up the hills here, on the cliff you can find a yellow stake overlooking the river.
You can find another Yellow Stake if you head north of area six. The Yellow Stake can be found on a cliff.
There is another Yellow Stake here to find not too far from the one above. Bordering into West Province (Area One), there is a tunnel between both Provinces. Enter it to find a Yellow Stake.
West Province (Area One) Yellow Stake Location in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
South of West Province is a Pokémon Center, near the West Paldean Sea. Head south of the Pokémon Center to get to the mountains. On top is a Yellow Stake.
The last Yellow Stake can be found west of the Pokémon Center, inside a crater. Jump inside and land in the middle platform to get the Yellow Stake.
Once you get all the Yellow Stakes, you will hear a Pokémon cry. This means that the Yellow Shrine is now unlocked. You can head over to the Shrine in the location below. It can be found north of the Pokemon Center in West Province Area One, where you found the last two shrine.
Jump down till you find a large Yellow Door and interact with it to come face to face with Legendary Pokémon Chien Pao. It is best to save your game before you try to unlock your shrine and battle Chien Pao.
