Welcome to the definitive guide for Canada level in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3. The second level of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3, Canada is the thrill of skating out in a city winter park, which is filled with rails, ledges, transition areas, and busy NPCs. This guide illustrates all the goals, secrets, and tricks that you must master to excel at the level and finish it 100%.

Objectives Overview

Canada adds depth to Foundry, introducing objectives that include exploration, vertical movement, and engagement with the onlooker. Objectives range from collecting S-K-A-T-E to acquiring Sick Scores, to helping the residents with the chore. Snow pavement, wooden ramps, and indoors/outdoors mixed, Canada encourages players to explore every nook.

Score Challenges

The level contains three famous high-scoring goals: High Score (15,000), Pro Score (70,000), and Sick Score (125,000). Same combo-building play that must be executed to access them exists, but the longer rails and bowls of the level provide more combinations of tricks to string together.

Put vert-to-manual combinations on the white bowl near the spawn point, then smash the edge ledges and rails to chain grinds and flip tricks together. Don’t forget to roll out of all vert tricks and switch to manual for longer combinations.

Adding distinctive tricks that are easy to roll into—such as the Kickflip Backflip or the Varial McTwist—makes for an effortless combo rhythm. The long rail under the gazebo and the stair rail in front of the hockey rink are the perfect lines to boost your multiplier.

S-K-A-T-E Finding the letters

The letters are distributed throughout the level so as to necessitate searching and accuracy. To locate them all within a single play:

  • S is close to the large quarter-pipe to the left of the spawn. Jump off the ramp to catch it in mid-flight.
  • K is on the rail leading to the hockey rink. Rail-grind from the look-out side.
  • A is in the back of the snowman on top of a quarter-pipe. Ollie up close.
  • T is down the downhill path with plenty of parked vehicles. Jump off the sloping sidewalk onto the wallride.
  • E is at the snowy benches on the other half of the map. Jump off the ramp right next to it and catch it.

Route planning should be taken into consideration, as the curved route and NPCs which will definitely clog your path.

Secret Tape Location

To get the Secret Tape, begin close to the gazebo and try to gain speed. Jump down the ramp to the snowy balcony, wallride up the side, and ollie through the second-story open window of the building. Grind the bookshelf inside, wallride once more, and access the top platform where the tape is hovering. This trick requires speed, timing, and proper positioning.

If transition wallriding is a problem, then practice chain wallriding and ollies in picnic area and quarter-pipes so you are familiar with the motion.

Feed the Homeless Goal

To gain this strange goal, you must locate three sandwiches and present them to the homeless guy next to the rink.

The first sandwich is on top of the roof of the gazebo. Skate down the hill and pop into the quarter-pipe and get launched really high and roll on up onto the roof.

The second is below where you build the snowman. Catch it in the air with the ramp.

The third is in the rear of the hockey rink. Manual along the thin ledge to get it.

After gathering, skate over to the NPC and click the interact button to present the food. This objective provides some storytelling flavor while challenging your terrain awareness.

Destroy Snowmen

You have five stand-alone snowmen across the map. Skate into them to detonate them:

  • Downtown near the starting location near the ramp.
  • Gazebo in the back near the wall.
  • Bottom of the large hill.
  • Hockey rink in the back near the parking lot.
  • Top ledge near concealed tape.

Your completion meter is responsible for all the snowmen, so head towards them intentionally in your quest to find them.

Nosebluntslide the Awning

This is a trick challenge of a trick named Nosebluntslide in the area of the red awning off the street zone. Pick up speed, skate to the awning on the curved ramp, and ollie at a shallow height. Initiate a Nosebluntslide (started mainly by Up + Left + Grind) when you land on the ground of the awning. There will need to be multiple attempts to get the correct angle and trick.

Get Chuck Unstuck

Another ridiculously stuck of the NPC challenges, Chuck is ridiculously stuck in a tree. Look for him near the rink where he is ridiculously stuck in a tree. Wallride over the top of the ramp beside him and push him off the tree. The stunt will zoom in camera so you can observe that you got it wrong.

Freeze Over the Pond

Thematic challenge to this iced level, pond icing is grinding along the pipe near the iced-up water attraction. Begin a grind along the top pipe through the ramp adjacent to the pipe. There is a cutscene brief with the pond icing after the grind. Apart from completing the goal, it also opens up a new skating path.

Optimal Run Strategy

Shatter the level into a series of quick tight runs for best route to complete.

For run one, focus on the score goals and SKATE letters. Keep an eye close on maintaining long combos and smooth lines through ramps and rails. Don’t worry if you miss one or two letters—you can pick those up in run two.

The second run is for Secret Tape, Feed the Homeless, and Chuck. These are precision and spot-specific, so not having to worry about keeping a combo score will be better.

Your third run is utilized best in killing the snowmen, performing the Nosebluntslide, and closing the pond. These are one-time tasks and easy enough to complete after adjusting to the map.

Mastering the Map

Canada is fluency of the terrain. Master to win at wallrides, chain grinds, and map height switching. The snowy terrain makes some turns slippery and others not, so don’t overcorrect for turns. Combo through the segments of the gazebo, street rail, and hockey rink—these areas are rails and combination of tricks galore.

Also watch out for pedestrians. There are NPCs that travel around the map, and bumping them up can break up your combo or flow. Keep your line clear and learn their routes by heart if it’s an issue.
