Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic is the eleventh core game in the FNAF franchise that offers psychological horror mixed with immersive, stealth, and puzzle-solving gameplay. The game occurs in the eerie corridors of Murray’s Costume Manor and Fazbear workshop dismantled to uncover the secrets of why the doors were opened and what the gruesome experiments of Fazbear Entertainment and the Mimic involved.
To progress through the game, you’ll encounter several locked doors that require numerical codes. Some codes are hidden within environmental clues, while others are tucked away behind logic puzzles or audio tapes. This guide covers all known door codes in the game and explains how to solve the dynamic Final Boss Room puzzle.
All Known Door Codes

As you travel around the Murray’s Costume Manor and its vicinity, you will see various doors locked, except for the doors to lore items, collectibles, and main path entries. The following are the unlocked door codes that you will need to use while traveling.
Welcome Lobby (Cassette Tape Room)
- Code: 0158
Off the beginning of the game, this door leads to a room where there is one of the earliest cassette tapes. The password can be gained by reading a note taped to the side of the table it’s sitting on, but brute-force is available if that doesn’t work.
Birthday Showroom
- Codes: 4782 and 0434
This area contains two doors which must be opened in sequence. The first of 4782 opens the stage space, and the second of 0434 needs to be entered to open the side corridor in order to proceed to backstage items and a collectible movie reel.
Admin Wing
- Code: 01350
Hidden further within the manor, the Admin Wing contains significant files, voice logs, and lore items. The code of this wing is frequently referenced in an audio file within the nearby Retail Showroom.
Retail Showroom
- Code: 80625
Locked to the showroom in the back past rows of exhibits and animatronic replicas, this locked room contains one of the game’s larger clusters of lore. Hints at the code are written on signs and graffiti on the walls around the door and are partially legible.
Workshop Area – Main Hallway
- Code: 26294
Perhaps the most significant location within the game, the workshop main corridor takes one straight to blueprints and tools to make to advance in the game down the line. The code is teased by diagrams that are tacked up on the control panels.
Final Boss Room Code – A Dynamic Puzzle

Final Boss Room holds a puzzle that cannot be skipped using one universal code. However, the players must solve a sequence different on every playthrough. The puzzle is accessible during the second part of the game after entering a secret corridor that lies behind the Big Top Showroom.
Finding the Clue: “GMBRY”
When you proceed through the hidden corridor, you will discover a cryptic message called “GMBRY.” It is a line of colors:
- Green
- Magenta
- Blue
- Red
- Yellow
The message involves color-coded markings on a surrounding statue or totem-like column. They are essential to cracking the code.
Cracking the Code
The environmental screens feature different symbols, and each symbol is matched with one of the colors of GMBRY. You must have the sequence of the clue match the corresponding numerical values of the symbols and colors. This creates a five-digit code that unlocks the Final Boss Room.
- Be extra careful with lighting conditions—most of these symbols are visible only under flickering or convergent lights.
- Input the proper numbers on the keypad based on your interpretation of the symbols.
- The solution will be a unique one each time you try to play the game.
- The puzzle is an important part of the experience and precedes one of the final battles in the story.
Post-Unlock Progression: Birthday Film Reels

Having unlocked all significant locations, the next thing to do is to collect Birthday Film Reels that are spread across Murray’s Costume Manor. The reels unlock more lore and crafting hints to the alternate ending.
In order to collect them in the optimal way:
- Look for color-coded locks and rooms of projector or old posters.
- Use your flashlight and items to decipher hidden UV messages and painted logos.
- Left and right wing study pattern to follow collectible locations.
- Having every reel is inherently linked with the final lore reveal and discovering the creation of the Mimic and how it escaped.
