The First Descendant is an upcoming action RPG by Nexon Games. Though the developers have not yet confirmed the official release date of the game, the beta version of the game will be released on 20th October 2022. Since the gameplay trailers are out, players have become a lot more excited about this game. Like other RPGs, this game also tasks players to complete various quests and progress through the game. “Retrieve Data from the Broken Detectors” is the first mission you get in the game. This guide will help you with all the locations to retrieve data in The First Descendant.
The First Descendant- All Data Retrieved Locations Explained
Retrieve data from the Broken Detectors- you’ll get when you reach Albion after your fight with The Executioner and the Cutscene introducing Carel, the leader of the Vulgus. While in Albion, this mission wants you to travel to The Lost Village Kingstone. There is no other way than teleporting to that area using the Albion Terminal Portal, located on the left side of where you spawned in Albion. Once you are in Kingstone after your interaction with Schale, start running on the right side to officially start the mission by interacting with the machine you can see on the right side. Initially, it is yellow, but it’ll become pink after you interact.
Data Retrieved Location 1
After your mission starts officially, look forward, and you’ll find a white building on your right side. Go near it and use your Grappling Hook to climb the broken roof of the house. Once you are there, the data retrieved location is at the corner of the roof. Interact with it to retrieve the data.
Data Retrieved Location 2
Once you retrieved the first Data, come down and run towards the opposite side. Pass between the white pillars, and take a right turn towards the white stairs. Climb the stairs, and you’ll reach a white building as shown below-
Enter the building, but be careful of the Halflings. You have to fight a few Halflings as you enter, and the Data Retrieved location is on the other end of that passage, besides the White Statue. Interact, and the data will be retrieved.
Data Retrieved Location 3
After the second location, turn back and move towards the entrance of the building. You’ll find stairs on the right-hand side in a midway. Climb the stairs and follow the passage. The data retrieval location is at the end of the passage, in front of a bookcase.

Once the second Data is retrieved, come downstairs and look up. You’ll find a location as shown in the below image.
Use your grappling hook to reach the location, and the Data retrieved location is among the rocks there. Interact with it, and you are done.

To reach the 5th location, get out of the house and run forward. Next, turn right, and you’ll find the next Data Rteived location on a rock there, but you have to wait a little bit as you have to kill the enemies first, and then you can interact with it to retrieve data.
These are the five Data Retrieval locations to complete the “Retrieve Data from the Broken Detectors” quest. Remember, after every retrieval, you must fight with Halflings and other enemies. So, be prepared for a good fight while doing this mission.
