Chapter 1 of Mafia: The Old Country introduces players to a richly historic, tense, and secretive world. For fans that enjoy uncovering every piece of lore and narrative detail, Chapter 1 comes with nine individual collectibles—each giving additional context to the events and characters as they are experienced. Ranging from cryptic notes to souvenirs, these collectibles not only contribute to the story but also give teasers towards the events yet to come.
All Collectibles in Chapter 1 Location
1. Harvest Instructions

Immediately after waking up to Cesare’s voice, take a glance around your room. On the box in front of you, you’ll find a letter entitled Harvest Instructions. You are most likely going to miss it if you leave with Cesare immediately, so quickly do a spin around first.
2. Delivery Schedule

Make your way down to the wine cellar. To the left above a wooden crate, near the door, you will see the Delivery Schedule note. It is in a corner but should be easy to pick up if you are looking around.
3. A Gift From Gulotta

After speaking to Valentina and accompanying her outside, you will notice a building in which there is a dead pig. Nearby on a table to the right of you, you will notice the note A Gift From Gulotta. It gives details about the business’s less glamorous side.
4. Valentina’s Pork Spezzatino
Continue to follow along with Valentina as she leads you into the kitchen. On one of the tables around the perimeter, you see her recipe note: Valentina’s Pork Spezzatino. A nice little touch that adds a bit of humanity to the atmosphere.
5. Guest List
After she picks up the recipe note, head toward the kitchen door. Next to it, inside a cabinet, is the Guest List. It’s where you find hints about the social and political atmosphere of the upcoming meal.
6. Cosimo’s Care

In the stables, look to the right of the doorway. On a bench is the note entitled Cosimo’s Care. This one takes in the responsibility of the people who are taking care of the animals—small, but mighty.
7. Opera Season

On the floor above Enzo’s room inside the vineyard, there is a newspaper entitled Opera Season. It’s on a round table and gives a cultural insight about what life outside vineyard walls is like.
8. Sant’Agata

In the “Get ready for the meal” section of the chapter, visit Enzo’s private room. On his work desk, you find the Sant’Agata charm. The collectible is not only narrative-driven—it gives temporary invincibility when your health hits rock bottom, so it’s one of the few that has gameplay impacts.
9. Note from Father Ciccone

Finally, near the end of Chapter 1, after you’ve collected the Sant’Agata, turn around. On the same desk in Enzo’s quarters, you’ll find the Note from Father Ciccone. It appears during the Famiglia objective and closes the chapter with a personal and possibly ominous message.
Acquiring the nine items in Chapter 1 not only adds to the richness of the world in Mafia: The Old Country, but also gets you accustomed to what’s coming. If playing for the lore or the imperceptible boosts on gameplay, taking the time to search each nook and cranny of the vineyard and adjacent buildings is well worth it.
