There are a total of two Wandering Tales you can complete in Ascendant Peak.. Here’s a simple breakdown on how you can complete all two easily:
How to Complete the Flickering Hope
You’ll need to start from the marked location in Hidden Mountain’s Heaven Threshold. Once you’re at the marked location on Brighthale Cliff, go right from there and you’ll come across a locked house behind which there is Yueya who’ll tell you how she’s locked inside with the purpose of protecting her treasure. She’ll tell you to steal Pan Kui’s key at night in exchange for the treasure.
To get the treasure for yourself, you’ll need to secure Pan’s key. Change the time to Zi hour (next day) and then look around the house to find Pan Kui spawn and take the key from him using Celestial Seize.
After that, change the time to Si hour (today) and unlock the door to reveal Yueya who’ll tell you about the lanterns she witnessed the day Skyward City fell instead of giving you the treasure.
Next, go towards the right side from the house and you’ll come across the Skytouch Rail track from where if you jump down on the right, you’ll find Qiongqi Artificers whom you’ll need to confront.
Afterwards Yueya will arrive at the spot and a small cutscene will take place where she’ll mention A’wu and whether or not he has fixed the lanterns. This will take you towards the next Wandering Tales.
How to Complete A Radiant Resolve
After completing the first Wandering Tale, A Radiant Resolve starts. For this, you’ll first need to change the timing to Yin hour (next day) and go over to the marked location. There, you’ll find A’wu at the distance who’ll complain how his lanterns can’t last properly.
The next steps involve changing the hours on the clock several times to get new interactions. It could get confusing, so follow the steps carefully.
- Go towards the left where the lantern is and change the timing to Zi hour (next day).
- Observe the lantern, then again change the timing to Zi hour (today) and fix the lantern.
- While doing so, you’ll find Xu Ji there who’ll tell you about A’wu’s backstory and how he’s determined to keep the lantern lit.
- Finally, change the timing to Xu hour (next day), go to the lantern and you’ll find Cai Hong.
Speak to Cai Hong and he’ll reveal that he’s the one who’s been putting the lantern out.
Next, you’ll need to go and talk with A’wu and Yueya who’ll be found on the platform that looks over at the Hidden Mountain. Go to the marked location and you’ll find both of them there. Here, you’ll need to equip the Nightborne Glow Mystic Skill and summon fireflies to cheer up A’wu and complete the A Radiant Resolve.
The rewards you’ll get for it are 30× Echo Jade, 10× Hidden Mountain EXP, 3750× Coin, and 3750× Stored EXP.
