How to Solve the Crank Puzzle?

If you can crack Requiem’s puzzling mysteries quickly and efficiently, you’ll discover many hidden treasures similar to A Plague Tale: Innocence. In order to solve the crank puzzle, you must first gather alcohol, find sulfur, light the fire, and then return to the lower chamber and solve the puzzle.

Here are the instructions to solve the crank puzzle:

Gathering Alcohol

Gathering alcohol is the first part of the crank puzzle. Here’s how to do it:

Firstly, visit the building’s top level, where Lucas is holding a crank, and interact with it. You’ll see rats everywhere.
Turn the crank completely, then look to your right for alcohol to make an ignifer.
The next room to the left of this one will have chests containing various supplies, such as alcohol, which you will need later.
From this room, you will find an animal dangling from the ceiling. Use your slingshots to hit the chains holding the animal up and stun all of the rats below.
Continue around the corner until a second dangling animal awaits you on the other side.
Finish by jumping off and grabbing onto the ladder here – climb up, take out all those alcohol bottles from the chest, then head back to where you came from.

Getting Sulfur

Head to the other end of the platform, where you’ll find a room full of plants.
High up in the upper-right corner is a chest containing sulfur – but don’t try climbing up the ladder alone.
Keep an eye out for Lucas, who should be waiting near that ladder. Tell him to stay put while you climb up.
He’ll then help hold back down on the crank so you can make your way across.
Once you reach the opposite side, interact with the cart and push it into the elevator.
Exit the elevator, then tell Lucas to stop holding the crank.
You can now lower the cart to the ground. From here, push the cart to the wall with the chest.
Open the chest to obtain all the sulfur you need. Use the ignifer as instructed, and fire it at the hanging firepit cage, which will light up and eliminate the rats.

Returning to the lower chamber

Now that the fire has been ignited, you can return to the lower chamber.
You can direct the ignifer at a firepit inside a little open archway on your left.
Enter the area, gather supplies from the chests surrounding you, and then look up at the ceiling.
A firepit will be on the right side of the room, where you may slingshot the metal chain loop down.
This firepit can be lit with additional ignifers to clear the way for the rats.
You must now use your ignifer pot to attack the rats protecting your way to the ladder.
Run across the room and up the ladder. Take the crank and interact with it.
Lucas will tell you to go to the crank on your left. Gather items on your left before you do this.
Return to the base location and create an additional ignifer.
Before continuing, you must first toss an ignifer pot over the nearest rats.
To distract other rats, slingshot the metal chain holding the animal aloft. You may then look across to the other side.
Travel around the rats and return up the stairs. Play with the crank, then rush to the elevator.
