There is one particular item to cure Root Rot, and that is Oilskin Balm. There are two ways to get this consumable item. The first way is by scavenging, as oftentimes you will find rare items inside chests or as loot drops from enemies. Oilskin Balms have a glowing aura around them, so they are not too difficult to find. But scavenging for an Oilskin Balm will take a lot of time, as it is not a common item.
Another easy way to get Oilskin Balm is to find Dr. Norah or Bedel of the Vaunnt. These vendors sell Oilskin Balm for 100 Scraps, but you have to progress through the campaign before it appears in their shop. You can find Norah in Ward 13 and Bedel in the Forgotten Grove.
Root Rot is a dangerous debuff, and if your character gets affected, they will stay immobile and cough. This will leave them open to attacks if not handled quickly. You can break the cough by rolling when you spot your character wheezing the first time. However, having an Oilskin Balm will quickly mitigate the effects. Not only will the Oilskin Balm eradicate Root Rot, it will also increase Blight resistance by 25% for 10 minutes.
