Avarice the Gold Cursed Location in Diablo 4
There are three spawn points for Avarice where you can spot the boss. You have to head over to Kehjistan, Dry Steppes, and Scosglen. To be more particular, you have to visit the following areas inside each region.
- Seared Basin in Kehjistan
- Saraan Caldera in Dry Steppes
- Caen Adar in Scosglen
A World Boss will spawn every 6 hours, and you will be notified 20 mins before its arrival. To get notified, you need to complete the main campaign at least once. But players who haven’t completed the campaign can also partake in the World Boss hunt, as long as they reach the allocated area on time. There is no fixed time for Avarice to spawn, so you have to check the above areas every 6 hours to find it.
Avarice the Gold Cursed All Attacks and Moves in Diablo 4
Avarice has a bunch of moves that it will pull out during the fight, but only a handful of them will instantly kill you. You have to keep an eye out for the following moves.
- Chest Slam: Avarice will raise its golden treasure chest and slam it on the ground, sending a shockwave that will detonate all erect pillars and cause massive explosions. Stay as far away as possible from these pillars when you spot the boss lifting the chest.
- Chest Swing: The boss will bind its treasure chest to a chain and toss it out. It will then spin around and rotate the chain, which in turn will drag the chest around. To avoid it, get as close as you can to Avarice to get out of the way of the chest.
- Hammer Upswing: This attack can be quickly avoided by keeping an eye on Avarice’s hammer. Get out of the way when you see the hammer swing.
- Portal Rush: A portal will randomly appear and Avarice will push towards it. Anyone caught in its path will be dragged and killed. Once the boss is gone, another portal will appear and the boss will reemerge. It will then use its hammer to slam the ground and attack. This move can also be predicted and avoided like the rest.
Besides the above moves, Avarice will also vomit Gold and swing its hammer once in an anti-clockwise direction. You will know when the boss will spew gold when it tilts its head back and is ready to regurgitate. This move does not deal a lot of damage if you do get stuck, but it is best to dodge it. The hammer swing can be avoided when you stay on the boss’s left side since it will use its right hand to swing.
How to Beat Avarice the Gold Cursed in Diablo 4
Avarice will have a stagger bar that can be triggered using Crowd Control attacks. Attacks that will deal stun, freeze, fear, and so on will help fill up the bar. Once the bar is full, the boss will be stunned for a while. This is your chance to hit it as much as possible. Two Treasure Goblins will also appear when the boss is stunned, but you can ignore them as they don’t deal a lot of damage in their attacks. Focus more on Avarice before it comes to. After that, rinse and repeat the process till the boss is down.
Pillars will also appear around the area, and once they do you have to avoid them as they tend to explode. Do keep a stock of healing potions and health regeneration items. If the boss is too difficult, then you can reduce the World Tier to get an easier fight.
