If you have tried traveling northeast of Paldea, you will know that it is a sheer rockface. Even if you try to climb it with Miraidon or Koraidon, you will not be able to. It seems like the game was made for it to not be climbable.
The location only has Team Star’s Caph Squad Base near it. You will not be able to find any other locations or NPCs nearby, which means that the devs haven’t added anything of note there yet. However, this does not rule out DLC possibilities which could be added later in the game.
Players have been thinking of a DLC of Southwest Kalos, which was the Region in Pokemon X and Y. This is only speculation based on the shape of the blank area past the border in the northeast of Paldea. As Paldea is based on the real countries Spain and Portugal, it is likely that a nearby country like France will be considered fro Kalos. This will probably have new game mechanics that will be added to the game as well.
