The full version of Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer is here for players who want to try out the new mode. Previously, it was out on early access for a week as a single-player campaign that you will need to complete first before you can play the other modes. Players have been trying out the new game now that it is fully released, with a lot more features and content. There are a lot of rewards in store that you can get hold of in the campaign-length game. In this guide, we will take you through the process of how to play Tier 1 in Modern Warfare 2.
Is Tier 1 Available in Modern Warfare 2?
Tier 1 is also known as Hardcore mode, where you will be able to play a more challenging version of Modern Warfare 2. If you want to play this mode in your game because you have already completed the entirety of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 in normal mode, or are simply looking for something more serious, you might be a bit disappointed, as Tier 1 is not available in the game yet. Here’s everything we know about it.

The playlists for Tier 1 are currently unavailable on purpose in the game as they were not due for release at launch. However, the devs have confirmed on their Twitter that the mode is on the way, in a tweet they published on the day of release. Players can check out their announcement in the tweet below.
In Hardcore mode, players will be able to use Operators with lower health and will have fewer HUD elements to help them out during combat. Those looking for a challenge like to explore the added game modes and maps because they want to keep playing the game, so it makes sense for devs to add one.
Currently there is no ETA on Tier 1 as the devs have simply specified “soon”. However, the expected time is probably right after the launch weekend of the game, as they probably want players to be able to play it during Season 1, which is due on November 16. Meanwhile, you can check out our guides on how to play the missions.
