Enter Not is a brief side quest in The Blood of Dawnwalker, where Coen has to visit a ruined house close to Laslea Glen. Upon discovering that his access to the house is obstructed, he needs to look for another entry to investigate the structure using Focus Mode. As a result of his search, he learns more about the last request made by a person who died from the plague and a Figurine of St. Jude.
Enter Not Quest Overview
The empty house near Laslea Glen is suspicious due to some unusual sounds coming from within. Enter Not has Coen sent on a mission to find out what is wrong with this apparently deserted place, however, since the entrance door is obstructed, alternative means of access must be sought. You will learn the story of a sick person and a stolen Figurine of St. Jude.
How to Start Enter Not
The storyline unfolds in a ruined house located in the Lost Glen/Laslea Glen region. The structure is situated to the northwest of Laslea Glen and to the south of the Blackwater Hollow shrine, along the way to the peat bogs.
Upon reaching the house, Coen pays attention to the sounds coming from inside and automatically adds the quest to his journal.
Note: Before leaving the location, players can look through the nearby debris for loot. Nonetheless, it is the house that plays a central role in the investigation.
Getting Into the House
The door does not work since it is blocked off. The only other openings to get in are the tiny windows surrounding all sides of the building, but there is no chance to push against them or use them to enter the building.
Instead of attempting to break into the house, go over to the barn located next to it and you’ll find a small shed there. Climb the shed and use its roof to reach the damaged section of the building.
Once you are there, head toward the western side of the barn, where some boards bridge the gap to the destroyed house. Cross the boards and drop through the hole in the collapsed roof of the house.
Examine the Ruins
After entering the building, the objective will shift to searching the house using Focus Mode. Activate it to reveal the points of interest around the room.
There is a marten’s den among other things found in the ruins, but this discovery is optional quest progress. The important clue lies on the bed.
There you will find a corpse. After you search it, you will obtain the items necessary to make progress in the quest, namely, Ursula’s Last Confession and Figurine of St. Jude.
Learn Ursula’s Story
Ursula’s Confession explains the sinister happenings at the residence. She contracted the plague, and eventually lost every member of her family due to it.
To protect herself, Ursula took the Figurine of St. Jude from their church at Laslea. When, despite having the figurine, the plague continued to worsen, she got the feeling that stealing it was the cause of her misfortune.
Since her condition was getting worse, and there was no one to take care of her anymore, Ursula made the last wish. She wanted the figurine to be returned to the church after her death. Taking the statue from the corpse makes the quest reach its final objective.
Take St. Jude Back to the Church
Return to Laslea with the figurine. If you have unlocked the Blackwater Hollow shrine, you can use it to travel back to the village.
Head to the church and enter the chapel, where Father Florin is near the altar. Speak with him and choose “This figurine – I think it belongs here.” Coen will hand over the Figurine of St. Jude, fulfilling Ursula’s final request. Father Florin considers the statue a false saint and has it destroyed. The figurine is also mentioned later during the mass.
Enter Not Quest Rewards
The return of the Figurine of St Jude successfully completes the Enter Not quest and gives you 100 XP as a reward.
The quest is primarily a self-contained story about Ursula and the effects of the plague rather than something that changes Coen’s wider storyline. When completing this during the prologue, the player must do it before the conclusion of the section, as that prologue content might become unavailable afterwards.
