Scarab’s Rebirth is a secret quest in Where Winds Meet that lets you unlock the Wooden Scarab transformation. The quest is fairly simple, but there is an important choice you need to make along the way. If you return the Wooden Scarab too early, you can miss the chance to keep the transformation. In this guide, we’ll tell you where to start the quest, how to repair the scarab, and what you need to do to unlock the transformation permanently.
Scarab’s Rebirth Quest
In order to start the quest, use fast travel to teleport to the Starseek Trail waypoint. Then go down the road and speak to Xiaofang. After that, you need to go to the location marked on the map. There, you should kill the enemies who are in the camp and take the Wooden Scarab. You will probably want to give the scarab to Xiaofang right away, but don’t do it because otherwise you won’t unlock the scarab transformation.
How to Unlock Wooden Scarab Transformation
Instead, teleport to Unitide Terrace. Move up towards the location and talk to Xiaoba. Give the Wooden Scarab to Xiaoba, and he will fix it for you. Once the Wooden Scarab is fixed, return to Xiaofang. Change into the Wooden Scarab and start talking to Xiaofang while you are in that form. This will mark the completion of the quest, and you will keep the Wooden Scarab figurine in your inventory forever.
The transformation can be activated only when you are in the Hidden Mountain region. But this does not mean that you cannot explore other places in the form of a scarab. Just transform into the scarab form while you are in the Hidden Mountain region, and then cross the regional boundary in the scarab form.

Completing Scarab’s Rebirth gives you several useful rewards. However, the Wooden Scarab – Little Flower is only available if you don’t give the scarab to Xiaofang.
