With the right combination of gear, gems, and Tavern Brews, you can get the most out of these Affixes. In this guide, we’ll explain how Affixes work, how to level them up, and the best Affix builds for every class so you can create a stronger and more effective character.
Affixes Explained
Each piece of equipment used in Mistfall Hunter is characterised by certain Affixes that bring additional bonuses for your character. Moreover, the bonuses provided by Affixes increase according to their levels. Thus, Level 5 of Valour will not only improve the particular statistic but will also unlock additional bonuses such as increased Attack and Armour Penetration. It is true about many other Affixes. Therefore, two players with the same rarity of their equipment may have significantly different power depending on the Affixes they have.
To view your current Affixes, open the Prepare menu and check the Affixes section. Here you’ll see every active Affix on your character and its current level. Each class benefits from different Affixes, so the best setup depends on the character you’re playing.
Black Arrow Best Affix Build
For Black Arrow, your top priorities should be:
- 3 Elusive
- 5 Curse
- 5 Valor
- 5 Aegis
The most important traits are Elusive and Curse. However, Curse is only worth using if you’re playing with debuff arrows like Bloodfly or Barbed Arrows. If you’re using Legendary gear, you can improve the build further by adding:
- 5 Stoic
- 2 more Valor
Mercenary Best Affix Build
For Mercenary, focus on these traits first:
- 5 Stoic
- 5 Aegis
These two provide the biggest boost to the class. If you’re playing Trios, replace 5 Fervor with 5 Unyielding, as the extra survivability is much more useful in team fights. With Legendary gear, consider adding:
- 4 Iron Helmet

- Extra Valor
Melee Seer Best Affix Build
The most important traits for Melee Seer are:
- 5 Valor
- 5 Aegis
- 5 Seamless

For Shadow Strix, your main priorities are:

These traits give the best overall performance. If you’re playing Trios, you can build a little tankier by replacing Fervour with:
- Unyielding
- Resilience
For Legendary gear, add:
- More Valor
- More Fervor
- 5 Fervent
Sorcerer Best Affix Build
For Sorcerer, the most important trait is:
- 7 Eloquence
This should always be your first priority. If you’re using a Stardust build instead of an Elemental build, switch to Sky Piercer together with Range. With Legendary gear, you can also add:
- More Valor
- 5 Fervour or 5 Stoic, depending on whether you want more damage or defence.
Withered Knight Best Affix Build
For Withered Knight, prioritise:
- 5 Valor
- 5 Seamless
These are the core traits for the class. If you’re playing Trios, replace:
- Tenacious with 5 Unyielding
- Vitality with 4 Resilience
For Legendary gear, simply add:
- More Valor
- More Seamless
- 5 Fervor
Affix Levels Explained
Every Affix level comes from different sources. For example, your Affix level could be increased by:
- Your Tavern Brew (Victory Wine)
- Your boots
- Your bracers
- Gems placed in your equipment
Tavern Brew
The first way of unlocking Affix points is by taking Victory Wine at the Tavern, which gives you additional Affix points before you deploy. The other way of getting Affix points is from your equipment. There are pieces of gear that come with Affix points, and there are those that have gem slots for additional Affixes.
Adding Gems to Gear
Most gear will have coloured gem sockets. Different sockets will require different gems, which will improve a certain Affix. One way to get your Affix build done easily is through this method. Maximising your Affixes is a big boost when it comes to PvE and PvP.
As you collect higher-levelled gear, you’ll find that these items come with better gem sockets. These sockets enable you to use stronger gems. Many of the gems that you can use on these sockets will not just enhance one Affix but will enhance two Affixes at once.
