Top Priority Quest is one of the Wandering Tales quests that you will encounter during your time in Mohist City of Where Winds Meet. This is a rather easy quest; all that you need to do is collect a particular item and talk to the relevant NPC. However, there’s an important step at the end that many players can easily miss. In this guide, we’ll tell you how to complete the Top Priority quest, unlock the better ending, and claim all of its rewards.
Top Priority Quest
To start your Wandering Tale, visit the spot at Mohist City and talk to the NPC found inside the little shack. The exact location is just northeast of the Exchange Quarter waypoint. Select the “Ask a Question” option and get your first clue in the quest. In his dialogue, he will state that he is creating a toupee but requires some materials. He just needs you to bring him any of the following:
- Black Mane
- Putrid Drain Fibres
How to Collect Black Mane and Putrid Drain Fibres
The easiest way to collect the required item is the Black Mane. All that needs to be done is go back and look at the horse close by. If you haven’t collected it already while exploring, interact with the horse to gather the material.
If you want to get Putrid Drain Fibres, start from Jia Mao’s location and turn left toward the water. Jump in and swim until you reach the nearby canal. There, you’ll find a Strange Blockage. Interact with it to collect the Putrid Drain Fibres, which you can then give to Jia Mao for the quest.
What to Give – Black Mane or Putrid Drain Fibres?
When the required item has been collected, take it to the NPC and give it to him. Once the conversation ends, stay a little longer, as talking to him once more is necessary. It will provide you with the final clue to solve the Wandering Tale. That is how you complete the Top Priority Quest.
There are two endings for this particular Wandering Tale depending on what item you give to Jia Mao. However, we suggest you give him the Black Mane because it is the right thing to do. Not only does it complete the quest, but it also rewards you with a Compendium entry.
