Technology Points are required for progression in Palworld 1.0. Leveling up and exploration do provide you with Technology Points but they’re not the most effective way as they still have some limitations. In this guide, we’ve outlined everything you need to know for getting Technology Points using Lyleen creatures and collecting Technical Manuals in the game.
Technology Points Overview
Technology Points play an important role in unlocking blueprints and advancing further on the Technology tree in Palworld.
Though players can obtain Technology Points by leveling up and discovering Fast Travel locations, these ways of acquiring points are limited. Since Palworld 1.0 expands the level cap to 80 and introduces new technologies to unlock, a repeatable farming method for gaining Technology Points becomes necessary.
For those players who want an effective way to farm Technology Points, breeding Lyleen is probably the most effective method.
Fastest Technology Points Farm
Breeding Lyleen and using the offspring at the Disassembly structure is the fastest way to farm Technical Manuals, which can be converted into Technology Points. To start the process, it is necessary to get one male and one female Lyleen. Both regular and Dark Lyleens can be used, but it is more preferred to use the Dark Lyleen. To catch a normal Lyleen, visit its boss area, while the Dark Lyleen can only be found during the night.
If one is finding it difficult to find both genders of Lyleen, it is possible to go to the World Tree biome, where Lyleens spawn more frequently and have a chance to respawn after a day.
For the highest chance of catching a Lyleen, it is recommended to use Ultimate Spheres or Exotic Spheres, although using Legendary ones is also possible, even though the possibility would be less.
Set Up the Breeding Farm
When you get the breeding pair you wanted, you will need to open the Breeding Farm at Technology Level 19 and place both Lyleen inside.
Next, put Cake or Vegetable Cake in the storage of the Breeding Farm. As long as cake is present at the Farm, the pair will keep producing eggs.
Even if both versions will give the same output, the Dark Lyleen has one significant advantage: it does not sleep at night, meaning it can continue breeding and producing eggs during that time.
When sufficient eggs have been collected, proceed to Technology Level 48 and get yourself the Large Incubator to hatch every egg. The objective is to breed as high a number of Lyleens as possible so renew the eggs at the breeding farm and continue to breed and hatch.
Disassemble the Offspring for Technical Manuals
Following the hatching of the offspring, construct a Disassembly Station and position each Lyleen within. Every disassembled Lyleen has the possibility of producing a Technical Manual. However, the drop is not certain, hence the process has to be repeated for a steady supply. In one case, the hatching of 80 Lyleens produced 10 Technical Manuals, but remember that your outcome could be different, as the drops are random.
Use Technical Manuals
Technical Manuals are consumables that can be used to acquire Technology Points. Each Technical Manual rewards 2 points of Technology. As it is possible to use several manuals simultaneously, one can obtain, for example, 24 Technology Points by using 12 Technical Manuals.
Since breeding is possible multiple times, the given method is a constant source of additional Technology Points even when leveling up and finding rewards becomes rare.
Other Ways to Get Technology Points
While the Lyleen breeding farm remains one of the most successful farming methods, it is not the only means of acquiring Technology Points on a regular basis. You can also get them by doing any of the following:
- Improving your character level.
- Finding new Fast Travel points.
- Using Technical Manuals from another source.
- Clearing dungeons.
Although the above-mentioned methods are great to apply for normal progression, breeding and disassembling Lyleen will provide you a steady means to earn Technology Points over and over again.

- Keep Cake or Vegetable Cake in the Breeding Farm or else egg production will stop.
- Dark Lyleen works better than the normal version as it can breed in the night.
- The Technical Manual drop is random and you should not expect a drop from every Lyleen that you disassemble.
