Gothic 1 Remake has a main quest called the Banner of Banners, which is about gathering rare monster materials to create the legendary Ulu-Mulu. This article contains all of the information needed for completing this quest which includes information on Tarrok and how to reach the Orc Enclave to finish the quest successfully.
How to Get All Ulu-Mulu Ingredients
The Swampshark Mother Teeth is the first ingredient needed. Go to the Swamp Camp and go all the way to the edge of the camp to the hollow tree. Cross the fallen tree and immediately turn left. The Swampshark Mother will generally be patrolling around the nearby island with the tree. It has heavy armor but is very weak to electrical spells. Therefore, be sure to bring a lightning scroll with you to make the fight easier. You simply need to defeat the creature and retrieve the Swampshark Mother Teeth.
Afterwards, continue down the road from Swamp Camp to the bridge until you reach the cliff, which is shaped like a snake’s head with a cave beneath it. This is where you will find the Great Shadowbeast that drops the Great Shadowbeast Horn. If it is not present, continue on toward the adjacent waterfall, where another Great Shadowbeast could be found.
To find the third material, you must travel south from the Old Camp and into the Orc territory around the cliff area. You will find several Fire Lizards roaming in this area along with the Great Fire Lizard who drops the item that you need which is a Prime Tongue of Fire. The Fire Lizards will drop regular tongues, but the required Prime Tongue of Fire can only be obtained by killing a Great Fire Lizard.
The final ingredient is Troll Tusks. Return to the area where you previously accompanied the Fire Mage while collecting the Fire Focus Stones. A Troll can be found there. Defeat it and loot its tusks to complete the list of required materials.
Tarrok Location and Crafting the Ulu-Mulu
After collecting all four ingredients, travel to the New Camp and enter the New Mine. Before going inside, speak with Wolf near the tavern. He offers a quest to collect 16 Minecrawler Plates for Minecrawler Armor, although you’ll only receive the armor after completing The Banner of Banners.
Continue to the bottom of the mine by opening the housegate, go to the bridge, follow a straight path, then take right, keep going until you come across a gate on the right. From there, go down using the ladder, take right again, go down, and keep going deeper into mine until you come across a sort of lake/water body. From there, turn left and climb up, go right until you reach the prison area where Tarrok is being held.
Speak with him, and he will forge the Ulu-Mulu using the materials you collected. However, according to Orc tradition, you must defeat Tarrok in combat afterward. Once he is defeated, loot the Ulu-Mulu from his body to complete the quest.
How to Reach the Orc Enclave
Before traveling to the Orc settlement, equip the Ulu-Mulu. Start from the large gate leading into Orc territory and walk straight toward the tower on the cliff. Continue slightly to the left, pass another tower, then turn left again. Following this route leads directly to the Orc Enclave.
Speak with Shak to complete the quest. Once you’re finished, return to the New Camp and talk to Wolf to receive your Minecrawler Armor.
