Snaf’s Recipe Quest is one of the first side quests that the player will be able to take once they have reached the Old Camp area in the Gothic 1 Remake game. In this side quest, Snaf will ask the player to collect a few things that he will require in his cooking recipe. This guide explains how to start the quest, where to find the ingredients, and what you’ll get for helping Snaf.
Snaf’s Recipe Quest
After arriving at the Old Camp, search for Snaf, who will be located beside the huts near the place where Thorus is located. Speak to him and ask him about himself, followed by selecting the dialogue option “What can I do for you?” As soon as the conversation is finished, he will provide you with a quest, which involves collecting 3 Bugmeats and 5 Hellcaps.
Bugmeats and Hellcaps Locations
Bugmeats can be acquired by killing and skinning Meatbugs located in the area surrounding Old Camp. Carefully search the place, and you shouldn’t have any problem collecting all the Bugmeats needed. Hellcaps can be found near the Old Camp in the area located to the southwest of its southern gates. Be sure to keep a watchful eye while exploring because several of those plants grow scattered in this place.
Now that you have collected all necessary items, return to Snaf at Old Camp. Give him all the gathered ingredients and finish the quest. As a reward, you will earn some experience points and a dish called Meatbug Ragout along with its recipe.
Upon the completion of the task, Snaf will be a great resource for free food. Henceforth, you can pay him a visit once per day to get free Meatbug Ragout, which is an excellent thing to collect when you happen to be at the Old Camp.
