The Rebreather is one of the most valuable items you will get in Subnautica 2. With it, you will have more chances to conserve your oxygen levels while diving in deeper locations, thus enabling you to spend more time underwater. This makes it important when you start searching for wrecks, gathering rare resources, and visiting deeper biomes. In this guide, we will tell you where to find the Rebreather blueprint and what materials you need to craft it.
How to Unlock Rebreather

Head out from the Lifepod in the southwest direction. You should soon run into an area with a big drop. Then continue moving towards the southwest along the ocean floor. Swim in the southwest direction until you see a spire made of rock. At the base of the spire, there should be wreckage as well as an entrance to a Colonist Bunker. Find your way inside the bunker and search the Rebreather fragment near the entrance. You will have no trouble finding it. Once you have found it, simply use your Scanner on it, and the Rebreather blueprint will be unlocked immediately.
How to Craft Rebreather

After scanning the Fragment, go back to your Fabricator and craft the Rebreather. Attach it to your Head slot, and now you can swim down further and not lose oxygen as fast. The Rebreather can be created via your Fabricator after unlocking its blueprint. Creating it requires 2 Fibre Mesh and 1 System Chip. Once collected, use your Fabricator to choose the Rebreather recipe, which will be immediately created. Once attached, it will help decrease oxygen usage at lower depth levels, allowing you to stay underwater longer and explore deeper areas more safely. It helps you breathe more efficiently at greater depths by reducing the extra oxygen consumption caused by pressure.
