Delivering a Promise is one of the final main story quests in Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred. In this quest, you travel through the Temple of Union in the Skovos region with Tyrael as you search for a way to reach the Pools of Creation. Along the path, you will fight through waves of enemies, explore the Ritual Chamber, and face the powerful Guardian of the Pools. Delivering a Promise Quest
Delivering a Promise is the main mission in Diablo IV. It is set at the Temple of Union in the Skovos region. In the previous quest, you will have to meet up with Tyrael and help him in getting to the Pools of Creation. On completing this objective, the Delivering a Promise mission starts automatically.
When you reach the Temple of Union, go towards the north direction until you get to the first objective marker. After a while, you will see a split path in front of you. Choose the left path and continue to follow it until you reach the second objective marker. You will find lot of enemies along the way, so be ready for several fights.
At one point, part of the path will have collapsed, blocking the direct route. The only other option is to move towards the west direction, followed by east, then finally, back to north. This road leads you to the Ritual Chamber, where you will meet with the Hands of Akarat. These followers are gathering here to sacrifice themselves for their prophet.
Reaching the Pools of Creation
Go to the Hand of Akarat, who is located at the centre of the Ritual Chamber, and talk to him. He will say that you do not deserve to be in the presence of Akarat. After some time, the dark ritual performed by him will summon the Guardian of the Pools.
Start a boss battle with the Guardian of the Pools and defeat him. Talk to Tyrael after the fight is over. He will tell you that you are too late, and the way to the Pools of Creation is blocked due to Mephisto’s corruption.
Select the dialogue choice that suggests that you will find another way. Upon hearing this, Tyrael will charge into the corruption and make a path forward. This completes Delivering a Promise and immediately begins the next main story quest, Lord of Hatred.
