Breaking the Storm Quest

“Breaking the Storm” is one of the important missions in the quest series of Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred storyline. It takes place in the area of Myssena within the region of Skovos. As part of The Hateborn Sea, you will have to explore Myssena and destroy all Seaborn Shrines located there. Once all shrines are destroyed, talk to Tharra and start the mission named Breaking the Storm.

As soon as you start Breaking the Storm, talk to Tharra, and select an option allowing her to guide you. Follow her very closely while moving. After a few meters, you’ll see an Amazon Ballista, which you need to use in order to shoot a rope onto the other side. Once that is done, walk across the rope and climb down the mast.

Follow the path leading further northward. Eventually, you will find the entrance to the Foundering Caverns dungeon. Enter the dungeon to continue the quest. Just head straight ahead after entering the Foundering Caverns and fight off the Drowned opponents who will start spawning in front of you. The dungeon is very simple; just go ahead till you come across the last area, the Sunken Depths.

The Hand of Akarat can be found in the last part of the dungeon; Mephisto takes control of these Hands and converts them into the Behemoth of Atanos. This marks the final battle for this quest, where you need to kill the boss and get your hands on the Edge of Lilith’s Blade. Picking up this item completes the Breaking the Storm quest.
