To unlock the Richtofen Jumpscare Easter egg in Totenreich, you will need to follow a set of steps. This guide will explain the required steps to trigger the Easter egg, as well as how to enter the Citadel to see the cinematic. You’ll need to be patient while interacting with the radio to trigger a spooky, funny moment where you will see Richtofen with glowing blue eyes.

Requirements for the Richtofen Jumpscare

To activate the Richtofen Jumpscare Easter egg, you must first play as Richtofen and complete at least round 15. You will also need to have the Melee Makiato Perk equipped.

Triggering the Easter Egg

To unlock the first part of Easter egg, you’ll need to go to the Core Foundry, which is accessible from Fishery Island. When you enter this area, you must melee one of the barrels with your Melee Makiato Perk. When you hit the barrel, you will knock the lid off and open up the barrel. After knocking off the lid, you will have to interact with the barrel and begin to dig. While you are digging, Richtofen will engage with you in some dialogue. After digging for a while, you will uncover Richtofen’s Rto Cruise Medal, which will allow you to continue on with your quest.

Entering the Citadel and the Jumpscare

After you receive the medal, you will be transported to the Citadel for a cutscene. This relates back to the Vanguard Zombies where a female version of VA will appear from Richtofen’s timeline. You will need to collect multiple intel pieces from the floor in the chamber room at the Citadel. Once you’ve found each piece of intel you will have to then interact with the radio in the chamber. You won’t get a jumpscare right away; it’s either randomly determined or after a specified delay, so be prepared to wait a little before getting the jumpscare when you interact with the radio in the chamber.

Note: While waiting for the Jumpscare, be patient as it can take time to trigger. Some players believe it’s activated by continuously interacting with the radio in the chamber room. Whether random or time-based, the Jumpscare will eventually occur, featuring Richtofen’s iconic glowing blue eyes.
