If you’re looking to use cannons in Windrose, there are a few simple steps you need to follow, from crafting them to installing and finally firing them in battle. At first, it might seem a bit confusing, but once you understand the basics, it becomes easy to manage. You’ll need to build the right structures, gather some materials, and learn how ship combat works. In this guide will tell you how to get your own cannons in your ship in Windrose.

How To Get Cannons

The first step is to get the Shipwright’s Workshop. This item can be found in the building options under Personal Weapons and Ship Fittings. You will require 15 units of Wood, 10 units of Coarse Fabric, and 5 units of Copper Ingots to craft the item. After this, interact with the Shipwright’s Workshop and create the 12-pounder cannons. The number of copper ingots and wood required for each is 10 units.

How To Put Cannons

Then, open the construction menu and search for the Wharf. You will require 10 Coarse Fabric and 10 Wood to construct the wharf. Place the wharf near the water as much as possible because it is needed for interaction with your ship. When the wharf construction is complete, approach it and select the ship. Select the ‘Manage Ship’ button, and this will give you the option to install cannons on your ship.

How To Shoot Cannons

When you’re out at sea, you’ll notice a bar at the bottom of your screen. This shows the directions your cannons can fire front, left, and right. It helps you understand where your shots will go based on your ship’s position. To aim, hold right-click. This will show a trajectory line, giving you a clear idea of where your cannonballs will land. When you’re lined up with your target, press left-click while still holding right-click to fire. After shooting, the cannons you used will go on cooldown for a short time, so you won’t be able to fire them again immediately.
