Crimson Desert has a quest called A Fresh Start that can be challenging to complete when moving sacks or raising the banner during the quest. This guide will help you reset the A Fresh Start quest (when bugged), teach you how to move sacks, use the mullet, push the wagon, and how to properly plant the banner to complete the quest.
Resetting the Quest
An easy way to resolve any difficulties with transporting sacks or any bugs encountered when working on this quest is to simply travel at least 200 meters from the camp by either walking or riding, then return to the camp to reset the quest. You may also restore your quest status either by reloading the game or resting at a bonfire.
Moving the Sacks and Using the Mullet
In order to move a sack, walk up to it, and press LB (Xbox), L1 (PlayStation), or Control (PC) in order to focus on the sack. Once you have focused on the sack, you can pick up and carry it to the location it needs to be placed. Once you reach the location, you need to focus on the ground again and press Y (Xbox) or Triangle (PlayStation) to place the sack. This needs to be repeated for all of the other sacks.
To find and pick up the mullet, go to the stakes in the area that are on top of the wooden bench. Once you’ve picked it up you need to equip the mullet. Use the A (Xbox) or X (PlayStation) to do this. After the mullet is equipped, focus on each stake and then hammer each of those stakes three times using the following buttons; RB (Xbox), R1 (PlayStation) or Left Mouse Button (PC). You will know when you have targeted the stake correctly because the target area will turn blue.
Pushing the Wagon and Raising the Banner
Before pushing the wagon, remove the stones blocking its path by equipping a pickaxe and breaking them. Move the wagon and start pushing it until this step is complete.
Next, you can use Y & B (Xbox), Triangle & Circle (PlayStation), or F & left mouse button (PC) to hoist the banner. Walk up and interact with the banner by pressing X (Xbox), Square (PlayStation), or Space (PC). If the banner cannot be planted because it has disappeared or the quest has been bugged, you will need to reset the quest by walking away from and returning to the area where you are trying to plant the banner.
