When you reach chapter 7 in Crimson Desert, you will need to gather clues and eavesdrop on the villagers during the Bared Fang quest. This guide will give you all the locations of where you can eavesdrop, as well as what choices to make and what answers to give in order for you to fully complete your research on the factions and gain access to the underground area of the resistance.
Eavesdropping on Beighen Villagers
When completing the Bared Fang quest, players will need to eavesdrop on the locals to collect relevant information. To do this successfully, you’ll need to travel to the red barn located in the centre of the village and stand just outside of that structure. After doing so you can initiate eavesdropping by pressing LB (Xbox) or L1 (PlayStation). Do note that players should not attempt to hide on the roof or behind beams, as only standing directly outside of the barn will count. Once players have found a suitable position for eavesdropping, they must listen attentively in order to advance in the quest.
Investigating Through Conversation
Go to the guard at the barn after overhearing the conversation (a quest marker will appear that’ll help you reach the location), and initiate a dialogue by selecting the option to begin an investigation. Always select the option for “Lie.” If you select “Truth,” you will automatically end your conversations with the guard and it will be necessary for you to begin the quest again. The second dialogue option will show you the factions that are available, depending on which portions of the map are unlocked so far.
Once you conclude the conversation, continue to follow the quest marker to your new position. This is also critical to your search for a clue regarding the faction that is causing problems in Beighen.
Final Eavesdropping and Unlocking the Underground Layer
Following the quest marker, reach your next destination, go inside, and you will be able to listen in on the discussion regarding the Blue Fangs faction. After that, you will need to report back to the guard and select “Lie” once more, this time selecting the “Blue Fangs” when prompted.
To finish off with the final step of the eavesdropping series you will have to go behind the red structure following the quest marker. Once this is done, go back to the guard and complete your last conversation sequence with him choosing the “Leader of the Blue Fangs” option which then allows you access to the underground resistance space. The two key answers for this investigation are “Blue Fang” and “Torstein,” if aligned correctly , will let you complete the quest easily.
